Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody against proto-oncogene; c-Myc and other c-Myc tagged proteins. This product is produced in Nicotiana benthamiana plants and is suitable for Western Blot and ELISA applications. It is conjugated to Biotin, allowing applications involving the Biotin- Streptavidin interaction to be utilised.

C-Myc is a 62 kDa transcription factor known for its role in cell division, differentiation, and apoptosis. Altered c-Myc expression is associated with tumor formation and is required for vasculogenesis and angiogenesis within tumor tissue.

PtX™ Rabbit Anti-c-Myc (9E10), CBT_A0007[B], detects c-Myc protein, as well as c-Myc-tagged recombinant proteins, and has been validated for use in WB and ELISA.

PtX™ | Plant-Based Expression

The biotechnology behind the development and manufacture of this product, transient plant-based expression, effectively turns Nicotiana benthamiana plants into single-use, biodegradable bioreactors. Infiltrating this plant species with Agrobacterium tumefaciens cells, transformed with our proprietary plant expression vectors, allows rapid production of a wide variety of recombinant proteins. Plants are harvested and proteins extracted by various stages of filtration, clarification, purification, and polishing – resulting in a highly functional final product.
