Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4), also known as CD152, is a critical immune checkpoint receptor that plays a pivotal role in regulating T-cell activation and immune responses. By binding to the B7 ligands expressed on antigen-presenting cells, CTLA-4 acts as a negative regulator, downregulating T-cell activation and dampening immune responses. While this mechanism is crucial for preventing excessive immune reactions and autoimmune disorders, it can also hinder effective immune responses against cancer cells.  Our PtX™ Mouse Anti-CTLA-4 exhibits high specificity towards CTLA-4 and undergoes rigorous testing to ensure consistent performance and reliability. This specificity allows researchers to elucidate the specific roles of CTLA-4 in immunological processes. PtX™ Mouse Anti-CTLA-4 is suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and ELISA applications.

Figure 1. ELISA Dose Response curve using PtX Mouse Anti-CTLA-4 to detect coated CTLA-4 Antigen at 0.25 ng/µl and increasing concentrations of antibody. Experiments were performed in triplicate, with error bars representing standard deviation (SD).

Figure 2. Flow cytometry: Peripheral Blood Mononuclear cells (1.3 million cells) were fixed with 4% Paraformaldehyde and washed 2x in PBS buffer. Cells were stained with 1: 400 of PtXTM Mouse Anti-CTLA-4 Recombinant Antibody, followed by a commercial secondary Anti-Mouse conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488 at 1: 400 dilution.  Approximately 30 000 events were acquired on a BD FACSDiva 8.0.2 Flow cytometer. PtX™ | Plant-Based Expression

The biotechnology behind the development and manufacture of this product, transient plant-based expression, effectively turns Nicotiana benthamiana plants into single-use, biodegradable bioreactors. Infiltrating this plant species with Agrobacterium tumefaciens cells, transformed with our proprietary plant expression vectors, allows rapid production of a wide variety of recombinant proteins. Plants are harvested and proteins extracted by various stages of filtration, clarification, purification, and polishing – resulting in a highly functional final product.
